The CDI Leaders to Watch award recognizes the most impactful and forward-thinking professionals in Clinical Documentation Integrity. These leaders are improving patient care, advancing revenue integrity, and setting new benchmarks for operational excellence. Honorees are chosen based on nominations and the ability to drive meaningful change in healthcare documentation.
Purpose
This award shifts the spotlight to CDI leaders who are setting new standards in documentation accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency. This award celebrates those who roll up their sleeves to build sustainable programs, mentor teams, and deliver measurable improvements in care and compliance.
Eligibility
- Nominees must hold a professional role in CDI (Director, Manager, CDI Specialist, or equivalent).
- Open to individuals worldwide working in hospitals, health systems, physician groups, or related healthcare organizations.
- Both self-nominations and nominations by others are welcome.
Deadlines to Know
- Nominations Open: Wednesday, August 13th @ 10:30am EST
- Nominations Close: Wednesday, August 27th @ 11:59pm EST
- Honorees Announced: Wednesday, September 3rd @ 10:30am EST

- Review Phase – Our team reviews and evaluates all nominations based on impact, measurable results, and leadership in CDI.
- Announcement – Honorees are announced via Slice of Healthcare’s platform.

The program will feature custom award graphics and a unique badge for honorees. The award will be promoted across Slice of Healthcare’s channels to amplify honoree visibility, encourage industry-wide recognition, and highlight the critical role of CDI professionals in advancing healthcare quality and integrity.
