Amal Agarwal, DO, MBA is the Chief Medical Officer for Centene Medicare. He is a healthcare executive with experience as both a CMO and CEO, with expertise spanning population health, payer operations, value-based care, and strategy across Medicare Advantage, Commercial, and Medicaid lines of business.

He previously served as Chief Clinical Officer at Monogram Health, where he also led clinical product and innovation. Earlier, he held leadership roles at Humana, where he developed a nationwide kidney strategy, advanced home-based care models, and guided investments in healthcare innovation. Dr. Agarwal also continues to serve as an Emergency Medicine Physician with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance from Washington University in St. Louis and an MBA from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign’s Gies College of Business.
