Paul Brient is the Executive Vice President, Chief Product & Operations Officer at athenahealth, where he leads product strategy and operational excellence to advance healthcare technology solutions. With more than two decades of leadership experience, he previously served as President and CEO of PatientKeeper for nearly 17 years, guiding the company’s growth as a leader in physician workflow technology. Earlier in his career, Paul held senior roles at McKesson and began as a consultant with The Boston Consulting Group. A Harvard MBA and Princeton-trained engineer, he is also a Crown Fellow of The Aspen Institute and recognized for his entrepreneurial leadership in healthcare innovation.
