Shiv (Shivdev) Rao is the Co-Founder and CEO of Abridge, a company developing speech and language technologies to reduce clerical burdens for clinicians. Based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, he has been with Abridge since 2018.

Rao also serves as a non-invasive cardiologist on the faculty of the Heart and Vascular Institute at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC), where he has practiced since 2013. He previously held leadership roles in clinical innovation at UPMC Enterprises.

Rao earned his undergraduate degree from Carnegie Mellon University and completed his internal medicine residency at the University of Michigan.
